The Process

How your film gets installed

  1. Step 1

    Prep & decontamination

The vehicle is hand-washed and decontaminated so no dirt gets trapped beneath the film during installation.

  2. Step 2

    Pattern cutting

We plot manufacturer patterns matched to your exact model for tight, edge-wrapped coverage wherever possible.

  3. Step 3

    Precision installation

Each panel is installed and squeegeed by hand in a dust-controlled bay, with edges tucked for a seamless look.

  4. Step 4

    Final cure & handoff

The film is inspected, given time to set, and you receive simple guidance for the first few days of curing.

FAQ

Paint protection film questions, answered

What's the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?
PPF is a physical film that absorbs impacts like rock chips; a ceramic coating is a thin chemical layer that adds gloss and hydrophobic properties. They solve different problems and are often combined — film on high-impact areas, coating over the top.
Is the film really invisible?
Modern film is optically clear and, when properly installed, is extremely difficult to notice. Edges are tucked and wrapped wherever the panel allows to keep the look seamless.
What does 'self-healing' actually mean?
The film's top coat is engineered so that light scratches and swirl marks disappear when exposed to heat — from the sun, a warm wash, or a heat gun. Deep gouges that cut through the film are not self-healing.
How much of the car should I cover?
Most Austin drivers start with Partial Front or Full Front (bumper, hood, mirrors, fenders). Full Body covers the whole paint job. We'll recommend a kit during your consultation.
What's Track Pack?
Track Pack is an add-on to Full Front. It covers A-pillars, rockers, and other high-wear surfaces. Ask about it during your consultation.
Can film be removed later?
Yes. Quality film is designed to be removable by a professional without damaging factory paint, which is part of why it protects resale value so well.
How long does installation take?
It depends on coverage — a front-end package is typically a day, while full wraps take longer. We'll give you a firm timeline once we scope your vehicle.
Can PPF be combined with ceramic coating?
Absolutely — it's our most popular combination. Film goes on high-impact areas first (bumper, hood, mirrors, A-pillars), then a ceramic coating is applied over the entire vehicle. You get chip protection where you need it and hydrophobic gloss everywhere.
What does the PPF warranty cover?
Coverage depends on the film and kit we install. We'll walk through the manufacturer warranty, what voids it, and the care it requires before you approve the work. No coverage term is promised on this page until that conversation.
